Buena Park Man Killed in Crash with Armored Loomis Truck
CERRITOS, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2022) — Michael Saida, 64, of Buena Park, died in a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound Interstate 605 Freeway Tuesday morning near South Street in Cerritos.
The collision occurred about 8:44 a.m. on Sept. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported all lanes were blocked after an armored Loomis truck, a pickup truck and two sedans collided.
The white Loomis truck and two others were in the No. 1 lane of the freeway. Paramedics responded after Michael Saida suffered major injuries and the dispatch noted it was a “possible fatality.” Soon after, the motorist died from his injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert for the Nos. 1, 2 and HOV lanes of the freeway.
Finally, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal Cerritos crash on the 605 Freeway.
