Michael Tillman Hospitalized After Road Accident Near Ice House Road Thursday
Placerville, CA (April 20, 2021) – Michael Tillman escaped death in a traffic collision that occurred on Highway 50 on April 15, Thursday.
The Mountain Democrat published an article online indicated 39-year-old Michael Tillman was operating a 2012 Volvo Tractor pulling a flatbed trailer. The truck was heading west on Highway 50 in Placerville.
According to the article published online, the horrbile crash took place when a 2017 Jeep Cherokee swerved into the opposite lanes and went directly into the path of the truck. Officials said Michael Tillman was unable to avoid, and crashed head-on into the smaller vehicle.

Authorities said the force from the impact caused the big rig to careen into the right-hand shoulder of the highway. The truck ended up crashing into the dirt embankment, then came to a rest. Responding paramedics rendered aid to Michael Tillman for minor injuries. As a precaution, an amnbulance transported the truck driver to Marshall Hospital.
Meanwhile, officers said the driver of the Jeep Cherokee sadly died as a result of the crash. The Placerville office of the California Highway Patrol identified the deceased as 45-year-old Diane Martini.
Further investigation on the catastrophic incident is ongoing.
