Michael Tingley, 76; and Maryann Tingley, 65, Injured in Mission Viejo Crash
MISSION VIEJO, CA (January 18, 2022) – Michael Tingley and Maryann Tingley were hospitalized after a car crash on the 5 Freeway in Mission Viejo.
The California Highway Patrol said the two victims ended up injured following the accident on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 4:40 p.m.
The incident happened when Michael Tingley, 76; and Maryann Tingley, 65, were riding a 2020 white Lexus RX350 in Mission Viejo. They were traveling north on the 5 Freeway at the time.
2 Cars Collide
A black Kia sedan cutting vehicles off in the area then sideswiped their SUV, just north of Oso Parkway. In the process, the Lexus rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. Michael Tingley and Maryann Tingley sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel then took the patients to the Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo for treatment. Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the Kia sped way following the wreck.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. The Mission Viejo crash is still under investigation.
