Michael Villalobos, 9, Loses Leg After Being Hit by Drunk Driver
SAN BERNARDINO (June 13, 2018) – A child was seriously injured after being hit by an alleged DUI driver on Del Rosa Avenue last month, according to KTLA and CBS Los Angeles.
The victim has been identified as 9-year-old Michael Villalobos.
As per the reports, officials said Michael Villalobos and his mother were at a taco stand on May 5 when a car veered on Del Rosa Avenue and slammed into another vehicle near them.

The boy became pinned between two cars. He suffered severe injuries and underwent leg amputation. The young patient will reportedly receive more surgeries on his other leg and abdominal area in the next six months.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle which swerved and caused the tragic incident was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time. The suspect, Michael Clemmons, was charged with a felony DUI and driving on a suspended license and has since posted bail.
