Michael Williams Williams, 30, Kills Pedestrian in Alameda DUI Crash
ALAMEDA, CA (June 28, 2021) – Authorities detained Michael Williams after a DUI crash that killed a pedestrian in Alameda.
Police determined that the 30-year-old Hayward man was under the influence when the fatal accident took place on Sunday night.
The incident began when Michael Williams Alexander was driving a Ford F150 truck east on Lincoln Avenue, approaching Walnut Street, in Alameda.
At the same time, Fred Zehnder was walking in the intersection. Police said the Ford pickup then struck the 87-year-old man in a crosswalk.

The collision occurred on June 27 at around 10 p.m. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found Fred Zehnder lying on the road.
KTVU News and CBS San Francisco wrote that he sustained major injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel later pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police arrested Michael Williams on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI. They booked him into Santa Rita Jail in lieu of a $250,000 bail.
The Alameda DUI crash is still under investigation.
