Woman Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-run Accident
TURLOCK, Calif. (June 10, 2022) — Michelle Mims, 42, of Turlock, is the pedestrian struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday morning at West Main Street and South Morgan Road.
The Turlock woman was found deceased on the side of a country road about 7 a.m. on June 9th, just west of Turlock, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Hit-and-run Driver Sought by Police
Investigators believe the a motorist struck the woman and fled the scene. However, there are no known witnesses at this time and police do not have a vehicle description, the CHP said.
Michelle Mims died at the scene prior to the arrival of police and the fire department.
