Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Collision Near Morgan Road
Turlock, CA (June 12, 2022) – Michelle Mims, a 42-year-old Turlock resident, suffered fatal injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on West Main Street.
According to the Modesto Bee News, a vehicle struck Mims in the area just east of Morgan Road. Earlier reports indicated the collision took place Thursday morning.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on West Main Street in Turlock
Officer received reports of a body found lying in the ground at about 7 a.m. When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they found the victim along on the side of a country road west of Turlock. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the woman. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the victim sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. Authorities identified the deceased as Michelle Mims.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the unfortunate event reportedly fled the scene. Detectives continue to gather several information to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
