Fatality Accident on Fair Oaks Boulevard
CARMICHAEL, Calif. (May 15, 2023) — Michiko Kay Fagin, 94, of Carmichael, died in a pedestrian accident Wednesday, May 3rd on Fair Oaks Boulevard and Walnut Avenue in Carmichael.
The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on their website.
A 20-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord reportedly struck the elderly woman at 1:14 p.m. in the northbound No. 1 lane of Fair Oaks Boulevard, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the northbound lanes of Fair Oaks Boulevard, just north of Walnut Avenue to help the injured woman. However, despite their efforts, Michiko Kay Fagin died at the scene in front of Raley’s grocery store. There are no further details at this time.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the accident on Fair Oaks Boulevard.
