1 Seriously Injured in Middletown Crash at Butts Canyon Road and Highway 29
MIDDLETOWN, CA (July 16, 2022) – A crash seriously injured at least one person at Butts Canyon Road and Highway 29 in Middletown.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 12 p.m.
CHP said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason near the Middletown High School. They crashed at the intersection of Butts Canyon Road and Highway 29.
Motorcycle Involved in Wreck
The incident log described two vehicles as a red Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a silver Subaru hatchback. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found one victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance then flew the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Butts Canyon Road and Highway 29 to shut down after the wreck.
The cause of the Middletown crash is still under investigation.
