Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman Near Hancock Street Sunday
Midway District, CA (March 21, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Sunday evening on Rosecrans Street, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Our sources indicated a 61-year-old woman was seen “scooting”across Rosecrans Street near Hancock Street. While in a sitting position, an oncoming motorist did not notice the pedestrian and struck her.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Rosecrans Street in Midway District
Shortly after 10 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to her injuries. The woman died before medical personnel managed to transfer her to a hospital. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the 53-year-old male driver stopped after the incident. The motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident on Rosecrans Street in Midway District.
