Military Man in His 20s Killed in Midway District Hit-and-Run Crash Saturday
SAN DIEGO (January 5, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Midway Drive Saturday evening in the Midway District neighborhood, according to San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC San Diego.
The collision occurred at around 7 p.m. between Rosecrans Street and Barnett Avenue.
As per the reports, police determined that a military man in his early 20s was struck by a vehicle on Midway Drive near Paradise Lounge and Grill and Déjà Vu Showgirls strip club.

The victim was found lying the roadway as a result of the crash. He reportedly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officials also believed that the man was possibly hit by more than one car.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
