Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Freeway in Sun Valley
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 7, 2021) –Miguel Cuevas, 42, died in a Sun Valley pedestrian accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway at Lankershim Boulevard.
A vehicle struck and killed the man about 12:23 a.m. on Sunday, June 6th on the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver subsequently fled the scene of the collision without stopping to help the man. There was no description of the involved vehicle.
Police say the incident happened in the southbound lanes of the freeway, just north of Lankershim Boulevard.
The CHP reports Miguel Cuevas suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on their website.
Meanwhile, the CHP’s Altadena office is asking witnesses to contact them at 626-296-8100.
