Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near San Gabriel River Freeway Wednesday
Industry, CA (February 24, 2022) – Miguel Rios Ledesma, a 56-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 60 on February 23.
According to My News LA, a vehicle struck a male party in the westbound side of I-60, also known as Pomona Freeway. The collision took place in the area near San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.
Preliminary investigation revealed Ledesma was driving a 2005 Ford Escape on the highway in Industry. For an unknown reason, the Ford veered towards the center divider and ended up slamming against the barrier. Officials said the Ford came to a rest in the No. 2 lane of the freeway. The article published online mentioned Ledesma exited his vehicle and stood next to his SUV.
Miguel Ledesma Killed in Industry Pedestrian Accident on Pomona (60) Freeway
Shortly after 2:20 a.m., an oncoming 2012 Toyota Highlander struck Ledesma and the Ford. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures, Miguel Rios Ledesma sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota remained at the site and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident on Interstate 60 in Industry.
