
Miguel Valadez Hernandez, 39, Killed in Victorville Crash on 15 Freeway
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 13, 2023) – Miguel Valadez Hernandez was killed after a DUI crash on the 15 Freeway in Victorville.
The coroner’s office identified the 39-year-old Victorville man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last week on Monday.
The incident began when Miguel Valadez Hernandez was standing outside a white GMC 2500HD on the right shoulder of the northbound 15 Freeway in Victorville.
At the same time, a black 2017 Chevrolet Cruze traveling north approached the area. The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the Chevrolet veered right towards the pedestrian.
Drunk Driver Hits Pedestrian
In the process, the Cruze slammed into the right side of the GMC and struck the victim. The accident happened beneath the Palmdale Road overpass.
The Victor Valley News wrote that the wreck occurred on February 6 at around 7:15 p.m. Miguel Valadez Hernandez became trapped underneath the Chevrolet as a result of the crash.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. Meanwhile, CHP determined that the woman driving the Cruze was under the influence of alcohol when she hit the man.
Officers soon arrested and took her into custody on suspicion of felony DUI. The Victorville DUI crash is still under investigation.
