Mikaela Luna Poblete Fatal Crash County Road 31 in Yolo County

Head-on Crash in Yolo County on CR-31

YOLO COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2024) — Mikaela Luna Poblete, 27, of Vacaville, died last Wednesday in a head-on crash in Yolo County on Country Road 31 near County Road 95.

The deadly two-vehicle collision occurred at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol and KCRA 3.

The young woman was driving a Subaru that collided with a semi-truck in the westbound side of County Road 31, according to the Davis Enterprise.

Authorities stated the Subaru was in the eastbound lane before moving into the westbound lane where the vehicle crashed head-on in a Kenworth truck. Mikaela Luna Poblete sustained major injuries and died following the crash.

Police responded to the scene and closed down the roadway for roughly two hours to investigate what happened.
