Mikayla Graham, 25, Kills Pedestrian in Auburn DUI Crash
AUBURN, CA (September 20, 2021) – Authorities detained Mikayla Graham after a DUI crash that killed a pedestrian in Auburn.
Police determined that the 25-year-old Granite Bay woman was under the influence when the collision took place on Sunday.
The incident began when Mikayla Graham was driving a car in the city of Auburn. Police said she then struck a male pedestrian near the intersection of Auburn Folsom Road and Sunrise Ridge Circle.
Man, 78, Hit by Car
The 78-year-old man sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found him down on the ground.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead. FOX 40 News and CBS Sacramento wrote that the accident occurred on September 19 at about 6:39 p.m.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested Mikayla Graham on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. They booked her into the Auburn Placer County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. The Auburn pedestrian DUI crash is still under investigation.
