Milpitas Crash Interstate 680 Freeway, Jacklin Road
Fiery Collision on I-680 in Santa Clara County
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Friday morning in Milpitas on the northbound Interstate 680 Freeway, just north of Jacklin Road in Santa Clara County.
The collision occurred around 10 a.m. on Feb. 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Police responded to the scene of the accident in the fast lane involving a white Hyundai Santa Fe and a red sedan. A semi-truck was also stopped and possibly involved.
Flames erupted from the front-end of one of the vehicles following the collision.
Paramedics rushed at least one person with major injuries to a hospital, but it’s unknown how many people were injured.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles including the white SUV due to front-end damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 680 Freeway in Milpitas.
