Milton Pineda-Vaceres Injured in Crash at Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road
CARMEL VALLEY, CA (May 15, 2021) – A fatal crash at Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road injured Milton Pineda-Vaceres in Carmel Valley.
The California Highway Patrol said the Northridge man ended up hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Friday night.
The incident began when the car Milton Pineda-Vaceres and a woman were riding became involved in a non-injury collision. They crashed on Carmel Valley Road at the intersection with Rio Road.
CHP determined that the two went out of their vehicle and stood in the roadway. At the same time, another car was going east on Carmel Valley Road.
Pedestrians Hit by Car in Carmel Valley
The driver then struck the rear of the stopped vehicle. The impact pushed the rear-ended car forward into Milton Pineda-Vaceres and the woman.
The female victim got trapped underneath their car following the collision. KION News wrote that the crash took place on May 14 at about 9:30 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Medical personnel took Pineda-Vaceres to the Natividad Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed the condition at the time accident was cold, cloudy and wet. The Carmel Valley crash is still investigation.
