2-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 680 Freeway in Milpitas
MILPITAS, Calif. (March 26, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision on northbound I-680 near Jacklin Road resulted in minor injuries this afternoon in Milpitas.
The traffic accident occurred at approximately 2:22 PM on March 26th and was blocking the fast lane, causing a brief traffic delay.
The collision involved a gray Toyota Prius and a black Mini Cooper, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The vehicles came to a stop in the center divider, with one of the cars sustaining major front-end damage. The Toyota Prius was blocking the fast lane, while the Mini Cooper was partially in the center divider. Paramedics arrived on the scene promptly and tow trucks were requested for both vehicles due to significant damage.
Fortunately, CHP reports no major injuries, although the situation initially raised concerns about possible severe injuries due to the extent of the vehicle damage. The driver of the Prius declined medical attention, however, the driver of the Mini Cooper was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The crash caused minor delays in the area but traffic was quickly restored to normal conditions.
