1 Killed, 2 Injured in Car Crash on 15 Freeway Monday
Miramar, CA (April 19, 2021) – One person died, and two other suffered injuries following a single-car accident on Interstate 15 Freeway Monday afternoon.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported a Jeep veered off the highway for an unknown reason around 4:15 p.m. For reasons still unclear, the driver of the Jeep allowed the vehicle to careen onto the right side of the southbound lanes of the freeway.
Per news article published online, the Jeep eventually slammed into a tree. The horrible crash took place just south of Miramar Road.

Responding medical personnel sadly pronounced one person died at the scene. It remained unclear whether the deceased was the driver, or a passenger. Police continue to withhold the name of the fatal victim pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
In addition, first responders found two other occupants in the Jeep with minor to major injuries. Ambulances transported the patients to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Several factors surrounding the deadly car accident in Miramar have not been discussed thus far. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly what happened here and why.
