Miriam Willis Injured in Suspected DUI Crash Near Highway 59
MERCED COUNTY (July 29, 2018) – A driver and a passenger were both injured in a car accident on Merced Falls Road Sunday morning, according to Merced Sun-Star.
Officials said 18-year-old Fabian Michael Cervantes, of Merced, was heading west on Merced Falls when for unknown reasons he crashed in the area near Highway 59.

As per the article, 18-year-old passenger, Miriam Edith Willis, sustained serious injuries in the wreck. The teenager was taken to a hospital for treatment of broken ribs, a broken leg, and facial lacerations.
Authorities added a 17-year-old in the back seat suffered broken teeth as a result of the accident. The name of that juvenile have not been disclosed thus far.
Fabian Cervantes Arrested After Merced County Car Accident
Meanwhile, the driver was apparently drunk at the time of the crash. Cervantes was reportedly arrested for suspicion of felony DUI.
The detectives continue to investigate the incident.
