Moped Rider Injured in Mission Bay Park Hit-and-Run on Ingraham Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 4, 2020) – An alleged hit-and-run crash injured a moped rider along Ingraham Street in the Mission Bay Park neighborhood.
Police said the victim then took the Sunset Cliffs off-ramp at the same time a vehicle attempted to pass her on the left. The car struck the rider who then lost control of her scooter.
In the process, the woman became ejected from the moped. Officers said she suffered a pelvic fracture, a broken tooth and multiple abrasions as a result of the accident.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the patient to a local hospital for treatment. Her name and condition at this time were not released.
The traffic accident occurred on Saturday, October 3, at around 1 p.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers described the suspect vehicle as a maroon colored sedan. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
