1 Seriously Injured in Mission Valley Crash on Eastbound Interstate 8
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 22, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 8 in the Mission Valley neighborhood.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place late Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:50 p.m.
A gray Toyota Camry and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Mission Valley. The two crashed on the eastbound side of the Interstate 8 Freeway near Hotel Circle.

The Toyota Camry rolled over and landed on its roof upon impact. According to CHP, a motorist involved was driving recklessly prior to the incident.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the two right lanes of the eastbound Interstate 8 to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Mission Valley crash.
