Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Texas Street Tuesday
Mission Valley, CA (September 14, 2021) – A bicycle rider died following a traffic accident that occurred on Camino Del Rio South Tuesday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Officials said the bicyclist was riding in the streets of Mission Valley around 8:50 p.m. For an unknown reason, a Nissan Sentra struck the cyclist on Camino Del Rio South just west of Texas Street.
Deadly Bicycle Accident in Mission Valley, September 14
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the bicycle rider found with serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the man sadly died at the scene. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the driver of the Nissan.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly bicycle accident in Mission Valley.
