Motorcyclist Injured in Mission Viejo Crash on 5 Freeway at Oso Parkway
MISSION VIEJO, CA (October 5, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash on the 5 Freeway and Oso Parkway in Mission Viejo.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident happened on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:06 a.m.
According to CHP, the motorcycle rider and a beige Honda Civic collided in Mission Viejo. The two crashed for an unknown reason on the northbound 5 Freeway at the Oso Parkway off-ramp.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist hurt on the right hand shoulder. The patient sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the victim to the Mission Hospital Mission Viejo for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Honda sustained injury or if they stopped following the incident. The cause of the Mission Viejo crash still under investigation.
Officers forced the northbound 5 Freeway at Oso Parkway to shut down after the wreck.
