Mitchell Wright Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident at Blackstone and Olive Avenues

FRESNO, Calif. (July 2, 2026) – Mitchell Wright, 39, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle at Blackstone and Olive avenues in Fresno.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office said the crash occurred in the early morning hours of June 25 near the Fresno intersection.
A driver reportedly heading south on Blackstone Avenue struck the victim in the roadway as he was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk near Olive Avenue.
The 39-year-old Fresno man was found suffering from major injuries in the middle of the roadway and transported to a local hospital. The man, identified as Wright, later died at the hospital.
Finally, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators, police said.
