The accident involving two vehicles was reported around 2 p.m. near Bodem Street.
As per the article, Modesto Fire Department said a woman in her late 20s to early 30s was apparently driving a white Nissan SUV east on Scenic Drive when for an unknown reason she crossed into the path of a gray Dodge pickup truck.
The truck, which was going west at the time, t-boned the SUV carrying two children. The Nissan ended up in front of Acacia Memorial Park.
Fire department responded and extricated the passengers of the SUV. They were only identified as a boy around 9 to 10 years old and an infant under the age of 1.
All three occupants of the Nissan were transported to Memorial Medical Center, including one of the juveniles who was flown to a children’s hospital.
Meanwhile, the investigating is ongoing although authorities affirmed that conditions were slick at the time, with sprinkles falling.
