Police Officer, Motorcyclist Injured in Modesto Crash
MODESTO (September 8, 2017) – A traffic collision in the area of Yosemite Boulevard and El Vista Avenue injured a police officer and a motorcyclist Friday, according to The Modesto Bee.
The accident took place about 11:40 a.m. at the intersection.
As per the article, police said a Modesto Police Department officer was responding to a report of a stolen vehicle when they entered the intersection. The patrol unit had its lights and sirens when the incident occurred.

At the same time, a man riding a motorcycle entered the intersection and collided with the officer. The rider was transported to the hospital with injuries described as moderate.
Meanwhile, the officer was treated at the scene for mild lacerations to his face. The names of both patients were not released.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
