Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Modesto Crash Near Hatch Road and Dallas Street
MODESTO, CA (August 19, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash near Hatch Road and Dallas Street in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 1:24 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Modesto. The two collided near the intersection of West Hatch Road and Dallas Street.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Crows Landing Road. They found the bicyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced the area of Hatch Road and Dallas Street to shut down following the bicycle collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Modesto crash.
