2 Injured in Alleged DUI Car Crash on Kiernan Avenue (Highway 219)
MODESTO (May 26, 2018) – Two drivers were injured in an alleged DUI collision in the area of Kiernan Avenue and Carver Road Saturday evening, according to the Modesto Bee.
The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. on Kiernan Avenue, also known as Highway 219.
As per the article, witnesses at the scene reported that a red Honda Civic traveling westbound on Kiernan failed to stop at a red light at Carver Road. At the same time, a black Maserati drove into the intersection, heading south on Carver and broadsided the Honda.
Responding medical personnel found the drivers of both vehicles suffering in injuries as a result of the crash. The Maserati driver sustained minor injuries and was apparently provided treatment at the location.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver of the Honda was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with moderate injuries. His condition at this time remained unknown.
Investigators believed the Honda driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Officials handling the case continue to work to determine the exact cause of the crash.
