Girl, 10, Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree on Las Palmas Avenue
DATE OF COLLISION: Monday, March 25th
March 27, 2019 – Two people were injured, including a young girl, following a car crash on Las Palmas Avenue Monday morning.
Per the Modesto Bee, 35-year-old Joey Alcutt Jr. was behind the wheel of Ford Taurus heading easbound on La Loma. Then, for reasons still unknown, Alcutt crossed over into the oncoming lane and continued driving onto the sidewalk where he crashed into a tree at Las Palmas Avenue.
Major Car Accident in Modesto Monday
The collision resulted in injuries to both Alcutt, and his 10-year-old passenger. Initial reports indicated the child was airlifted from the scene with moderate injuries. Her name and relationship to Alcutt were not available early Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Alcutt was reportedly found by first responders pinned in the car and was unresponsive. His condition at this time remained unclear.
The precise circumstances that led to the crash are still being investigated.
