Woman Badly Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 99 Tuesday
Modesto, CA (April 20, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident on State Route 99 Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle veered off the highway for an unknown reason. The car then rolled over in the area near East Hatch Road onramp in Modesto. Our sources indicated the vehicle plowed through an 80 feet chain link fence, and struck approximately four poles.
CHP logged the incident shortly before 8:30 a.m.

Officials said the passenger vehicle caught fire after the collision. When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found a female party bleeding extensively. Paramedics immediate rendered aid to the woman, and later confirmed she sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
Meanwhile, the accident reported indicated there were multiple other parties found at the scene. However, no immediate information was available on the other occupants of the overturned car.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the car accident on State Route Highway 99 in Modesto happened.
