1 Injured in Modesto Crash on Northbound Highway 99 Near Tuolumne Boulevard
MODESTO, CA (August 30, 2021) – At least one was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 99 near Tuolumne Boulevard in Modesto.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 8:20 a.m.
CHP said a silver 2009 Chrysler and a big rig collided for an unknown reason in Modesto. The two crashed on northbound Highway 99 near Tuolumne Boulevard.
Car and Big Rig Collide
The incident log added that the car obtained front-end damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, just north of Crows Landing Road.
Medical personnel found an occupant of the Chrysler who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at the moment. Meanwhile, the cause of the Modesto crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near Tuolumne Boulevard to shut down for a time following the wreck.
