Child Seriously Injured in Modesto Pedestrian Crash on Frazier Street and Inyo Avenue
MODESTO, CA (May 14, 2021) – A pedestrian accident seriously injured a child near Frazier Street and Inyo Avenue in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident occurred late Friday afternoon. Officers reported the crash at about 5:49 p.m.
CHP said vehicle struck the child pedestrian for an unknown reason in Modesto. The driver hit the juvenile near the intersection of Frazier Street and Inyo Avenue.
Juvenile Hit by Vehicle Near Baptist Church
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene in front of a Baptist church. They found the young victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The condition of the wounded party at this time was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Frazier and Inyo to close for a time following the collision. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Modesto child pedestrian accident.
