Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Kansas Avenue
Modesto, CA (June 18, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 99 Thursday morning, the Modesto Bee News reported.
Our sources indicated a male party was spotted walking in the center median of northbound Highway 99 around 3 a.m. In the area near Kansas Avenue, a passing Nissan Murano struck the individual.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Modesto
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities briefly identified the deceased as a 38-year-old Modesto resident. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the name of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old man driving the Nissan appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly crash on Highway 99 in Modesto.
