Officer Injured in Collision at Whitcomb Way and Sick Road
Modesto, CA (June 7, 2022) – A Modesto police officer suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of Whitcomb Way and Sick Road.
The CBS News reported the officer was driving a marked patrol vehicle traveling in the streets of Modesto Monday evening. When the officer approached the intersection at Whitcomb and Sick, it collided with another car. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the other car ran a stop sign and struck the patrol vehicle.
Shortly after 7:42 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the officer for minor injuries.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Car Accident in Modesto
According to the article published online, the other driver showed signs of intoxication. Authorities then conducted tests on the suspect, and eventually arrested the man on suspicion of DUI.
Further investigation is ongoing on the car crash that happened at Whitcomb Way and Sick Road.
