Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Claratina Near Oakdale Road
DATE OF ACCIDENT: Saturday, October 6th
October 6, 2018 – An unidentified woman was killed in an alleged hit-and-run collision on Claratina Avenue Saturday morning, according to KCRA.
Preliminary investigation revealed an initial traffic accident occurred on Claratina near Oakdale Road around 5 a.m. As per the article, a woman involved in that crash exited her vehicle during an argument and was hit by another car driving eastbound in the area.
Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Saturday in Modesto
First responders found the victim lying on the road. Paramedics reportedly attempted lifesaving treatment but were unsuccessful in saving her.
Authorities briefly identified the deceased as a 35-year-old Modesto resident.
Meanwhile, officials said the motorist that struck the victim did not stop at the scene. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as dark-colored and possibly an SUV.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
