1 Injured in Modesto Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 99 at Pelandale Avenue
MODESTO, CA (January 21, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 99 and Pelandale Avenue in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:10 p.m.
CHP said four vehicles, including a semi-truck, collided for an unknown reason in the city of Modesto. They crashed on northbound Highway 99 at Pelandale Avenue.
The incident log described the other two cars as a silver Ford Focus and a white Chevrolet Cruze. The Chevrolet obtained right side damage upon impact.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found at least one person who complained of pain as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the victim to the Kaiser Permanente for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the northbound Highway 99 at Pelandale to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Modesto hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
