MODESTO, California (March 2, 2017) – One was killed and three were injured in a traffic collision on Terminal Avenue Wednesday night, according to The Modesto Bee.
The accident took place about 6:40 p.m., just south of Plainview Road.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said 64-year-old Riverbank resident Paul Perkins was driving a 2002 GMC SUV south on Terminal Avenue when for an unknown reason he crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a 2011 Ford pickup truck head-on.
Paul Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, 64-year-old Rosemary Perkins, and another passenger, 41-year-old Maria Calderon, were both taken to local hospital with complaints of pain.
The pickup driver, 32-year-old William Borges Jr., sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized. Calderon is from Modesto while Borges is from Tracy.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
