Modesto Motorcycle Accident on River Road, Rushing River Road

MODESTO, Calif., (February 24, 2026) — A major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle occurred Monday afternoon on River Road near Rushing River Drive in Modesto.

The incident was reported on Feb. 23rd at approximately 4:38 p.m., just north of the bend near 2448 River Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Initial reports indicated a vehicle collided with a motorcycle, resulting in significant injuries. The passenger of the motorcycle was reportedly pulled to the right-hand side of the road.

Emergency units were promptly dispatched to the scene, arriving at 4:52 p.m. to provide necessary medical attention. The collision was initially logged as a traffic incident requiring emergency response, but later updated to a major injury situation.

The identities of those involved have not been released at this time. The CHP has requested the assistance of Ceres Pro Tow to clear the scene.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision and are asking any witnesses to come forward with information that may assist in their inquiry.
