Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Modesto Crash Near Tully Road and Trinity Avenue
MODESTO, CA (June 30, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash near Tully Road and Trinity Avenue in Modesto.
The Modesto Bee wrote that the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck on June 29 at about 8:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a 35-year-old Modesto man was riding a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle south on Tully Road, approaching Trinity Avenue.
Police said for an unknown reason, a 2013 Dodge Charger made a left turn directly into his path. In the process, the Dodge collided with the motorcyclist.
Motorcycle and Car Collide Near Junior College
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene, just north of Modesto Junior College. They then found the rider who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took him to a hospital and listed him in serious but stable condition. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the Modesto man driving the Charger ended up unharmed upon impact. Officers forced the area of Tully Road and Trinity Avenue to shut down following the crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
