Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision at Snyder Avenue and Thornhill Way
Modesto, CA (November 23, 2022) – A 72-year-old pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area of Snyder Avenue and Thornhill Way.
The KCRA3 News reported the pedestrian was walking in the streets of Modesto later Tuesday night. When the woman approached the intersection of Snyder and Thornhill, a passing vehicle struck the victim head-on.
Major Pedestrian Accident in Modesto
According to the article published online, a group of passersby found the woman and helped her. The Good Samaritans slowed oncoming traffic until rescue teams arrived. Medical personnel later responded and rendered aid to the victim. Paramedics confirmed the woman sustained injuries as a result of the collision. However, the name of the injured pedestrian and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Officials added the motorist involved in the accident fled the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed the hit-and-run suspect was driving a white four-door sedan when the crash happened.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the pedestrian accident that happened at Snyder Avenue and Thornhill Way in Modesto.
