Semi-Truck Hits Pedestrian on Highway 99 in Modesto
MODESTO, Calif. (June 29, 2022) — A Modesto pedestrian accident involving a big rig truck and or a green Toyota Corolla happened Wednesday morning on Highway 99 at Standiford Avenue.
The major injury collision occurred about 7:23 a.m. on June 29th, near the Sandiford Avenue on ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported one or both vehicles struck the victim between the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the highway due to unknown circumstances. A tow truck removed the Toyota from the scene. The truck was stopped on the right shoulder.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help the person who suffered major injuries in the crash.
The report does not provide the victim’s gender, age or identity.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Modesto pedestrian accident.
