Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Modesto Crash on Kenneth Street Near Hays
MODESTO, CA (May 20, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after an accident on Kenneth Street in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the crash at about 6:50 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Modesto. The driver hit the person at 1705 Kenneth Street near Hays Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Bellenita Park
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Bellenita Park. They found the victim down in the roadway as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Kenneth to close following the accident.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Modesto pedestrian collision.
