Pedestrian Injured in Modesto Hit-and-Run at Chicago Avenue and Paradise Road
MODESTO, CA (June 23, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Chicago Avenue and Paradise Road in Modesto.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 10:46 a.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Modesto. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Paradise Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Fire Station
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Modesto Regional Fire Station 2. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced the area of Chicago Avenue and Paradise Road to shut down following the collision. The Modesto hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
