MODESTO, California (February 9, 2017) – A pedestrian was injured in a traffic collision on Oakdale Road Thursday afternoon, according to The Modesto Bee.
The accident took place at about 12:15 p.m., north of Merle Avenue.
As per the article, Modesto Police Department said a woman was struck by a vehicle which was traveling at a low speed at the time. The woman has just left the sidewalk when she was hit.
The victim sustained a bump on the head and was then transported to a nearby hospital for precautionary measure. Her name was not released.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver involved stopped and remained on scene. Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
