Moises Reina, 32, ID’d as Suspect in Rancho Cucamonga Fatal DUI Crash
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (July 20, 2021) – Authorities detained Moises Reina after a fatal DUI crash in Rancho Cucamonga.
The Sheriff’s Department determined that the 32-year-old man was under the influence when the collision took place on July 10.
The incident began when Moises Reina crashed into three cars in the area of Milliken Avenue and Base Line Road in Rancho Cucamonga.
One vehicle ended up pushed into the intersection due to the impact of the collision. Deputies said a car going east approached and then collided with that vehicle in the intersection.
Mia Johnson, 50, Killed in Crash at Milliken and Base Line
The driver and the passenger of the victim car sustained serious injuries as a result of the wreck. Paramedics rushed them to a hospital where the passenger died.
Officers named the deceased person as 50-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident Mia Johnson. The Daily Bulletin wrote that the accident occurred at about 5:13 p.m.
Medical personnel took Moises Reina with non-life-threatening wounds. Meanwhile, deputies soon arrested him for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
They charged Moises Reina with second-degree murder and DUI causing injury. The Rancho Cucamonga DUI crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Milliken and Base Line to shut down for hours following the collision. Anyone with information can call the deputies at 909-477-2800.
