Pedestrian Killed in DUI Crash at Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue
Anaheim, CA (December 4, 2021) – Police arrested 39-year-old Moises Lopez Santiago following a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue on January 6.
The Orange County Register News reported Moises Santiago was driving a white Astro van in the streets of Anaheim when he ran a red light at the intersection. Officials said the Norwalk driver struck a man walking southbound in a crosswalk. Authorities confirmed the pedestrian sadly died as a result of the collision.

Meanwhile, investigators later confirmed the driver of the white Astro van was intoxicated during the catastrophic incident. Police then arrested Moises Santiago on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated; driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury; and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit or more causing injury.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
