1 Killed in Mojave Crash on Highway 14 Near Meyers
MOJAVE, CA (March 31, 2023) – A crash killed at least one person on Highway 14 and Meyers Road in Mojave.
According to the Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire, the tragic collision took place late Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:20 a.m.
The incident happened on March 31 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Mojave. The cars crashed on northbound Highway 14, just north of Meyers Road.
Multiple Cars Collide
A California Highway Patrol dispatch described two of the cars as a white truck and a dark colored truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the accident. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 14 to shut down for a time near Meyers following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Mojave crash is still under investigation.
