1 Killed in Mojave Crash on Sierra Highway Near Highway 58
KERN COUNTY, CA (June 26, 2021) – A car crash killed at least one person and injured several others on Sierra Highway in Mojave.
According to an article published by the 23 ABC News, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:37 a.m.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Mojave. They crashed on Sierra Highway 46 near Highway 58.
Several Injured in Kern County Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found several people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They sustained moderate to major injuries upon impact.
Medical personnel then rushed all patients to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. CHP mentioned that one of them later died.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced Sierra Highway to shut down for about four hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Mojave crash is still under investigation.
